Is it easy to connect space travel with the music of Anoesis? Perhaps its mind travel that’s the key. Either way that sense of travelling between two points, exploring the in-betweens, is always present. Track Thirty 7 energises both the soul and the imagination as drums feel freshly tuned into the twists and turns of an electronic mind-set while seeking out the outer limits. But never losing sight of comprehension. Next, Callisto plunges into deeper, jazz inspired depths aligned with the warmth of classic pads, while the brisk, modular electro pulse of May Eleventh then competes heavily for futuristic attention.
Space Watch, is perhaps the most closely associated with a classic House ascetic on the EP warping keys over strident beats, as the final number leaves you with the indelible impression that urgency in the form of Places For People is the most important communication taking place here. Fusing a hotwired symphony of reoccurring arpeggios together with a pointed and intense shuffle of percussion this piece of music is nothing short of breathless, tripping the light fantastic between cosmic and truly epic proportions.
