Forming an introspective yet incendiary explosion of music both of these new productions act as the debut release on the label from SXM Festival’s Julian Prince. Beginning with Orign you immediately get drawn into the web of sound that is all at once compelling and inventively challenging, as undulating landscapes of strange, imaginative signatures unfold amid a cascade of breathy voices and shivering guitar. Originality is such a precious thing in electronic music and here you can experience that. The contrasting Daniel van der Zwaag remix then lifts it all skyward via a brighter sheen of colour transforming the emotional content upside down. Next comes the equally excellent, Smoking In The Girls Room which again works over twisted electricity into something altogether tempting with smoky bass alongside a cinematic exploration of stereo to complete.
Release: May 17
