The combination of Norwegian guitarist Eivind J. Vullum, Polish saxophonist Jerzy Mączyński and Swiss drummer Nicolas Stocker has produced music that not only befits the season perfectly but also seems destined to haunt the future yet to arrive. Filled with resonating, timely instrumentation that breathes rich atmosphere and sonic purpose throughout, the sounds explode from an organic core, charged with creative vitality and animated sensibilities that fuel each of the five numbers.
Feeding into this free-flowing equation are elements from all the major musical food groups, from jazz and rock to cinema and electronics. Yet the music never feels tired or anything less than exciting, unfolding like a series of journeys into unknown territory. This is a most welcome accompaniment to sonic landscapes of sheer heights and dramatic falls, stretching across ever-unfolding horizons.
