We are all so bombarded by everything that it’s easy sometimes to forget everything. The history of D:Ream is a surprisingly long one, given the increasingly fleeting moments passing for attention span, but tuning sharply into focus are Al Mackenzie’s brilliant, fiery versions of the band’s latest single. Soaked in the fortitude of Dub and the sweet, uplifting melodies of Peter Cunnah’s chorus of vocals, you can feel the warmth of sounds and organic guitars echo across sun, sea, and a night-time of star-struck excess as rhythms and arrangements are given free rein to explore and detonate.
