Time frames like forward motion and the sense that place and the construction of elements matter a great deal within this equation, blending various artistic disciplines into one. The devastating beauty found in the uncomplicated can be just as powerful as the soaring implications of a contrast. And although the album is titled In Retrospect, that seems like a misnomer given the compositions’ determined futuristic implications. Sonic ambience, fully charged.
