I’ve been eager to review this homegrown collaboration between two of Belfast’s leading musical voices, not least because it carries a strangely evocative, tastefully uplifting energy. It’s rich in originality and emotional fortitude, and refreshingly difficult to squeeze into any neat genre box — a rare and welcome trait in these days of the increasingly cliqued and disposable.
Going Home sparks imagination with its zest‑filled synths, shimmering guitar‑like motifs, and the punch of drums that drive it toward anthem territory. On the flip play Not Quite and you’re met with a more intriguingly off‑centre world full of funky percussion, playful effects, and sounds that twist and twirl in unexpected directions. Another provocative, masterful production for listeners hungry for curious encounters.
