This fiery track excites the mind in ways that only the futuristic hum of a 303 can. A brilliantly realised piece of music that captures yesterday as if it were tomorrow, employing a devilish swirl of effects and bubbling attitude all into the mix. As much as the drum machines may draw your imagination back into the past, it’s Magali’s brilliant, exhilarating voice narrating a night-time of cautionary excess that ignores any sense of timescale, tuning into a tantalising here and now.
The party continues with the excellent Freq Nasty Club Mix, twisting bass sounds around driving beats, shuffling hi-hats, rolling snares, and an explosion of tension-filled release, making it feel like nothing else matters and prolonging the delightful reminiscence of Acid House in countless sizzling, joyous ways. What’s not to love?
