A Story Behind is first and foremost about the connection and interplay between heavy-duty drums and bass as they punch out vigorous rhythms together in unison. But scratch below the surface and there is also a wealth of more subtle information going on like a series of mysterious motifs and punctuation enhancing the low-end and it’s all of this that lends the track such an involving, intriguing edge. Remixes come from Fedo who adds a more robust intensity – if that was possible – via funkier, rolling basslines alongside deeper, tempting atmospheres plus also from Juzz sequencing sizzling hi-hats and fierce, probing tones to add to the delicious intensity of it all.
The second original, Let’s Start It feels that bit more energetic care of a bouncing rhythm section while again searching out meaning by its creative use of sound effects and mood-enchanting acid landscapes on this brilliantly tasty release.
