The Broken Cradle – Post Mortal

This an exceptional release. An exception to the rules for its sheer depth of emotional story telling which is all at once about past memory, present tense and future hope. If you like the sound of music tearing your soul apart, reconstructing it with injected warmth and breadth then I would suggest politely you listen to this. The instrumentation is eloquently gorgeous achieving a rare beauty which is devoid of too much cliché, while proving that there is still much about contemporary music to be discovered that will amaze you. Once again this is not about breaking into single tracks as the album is best savoured in its entirety, sketching out moods and atmosphere’s, painting pictures and postcards, which is of course yet another inner strength.
