I don’t often get too excited about Disco flavoured records these days as either the samples are tediously cliqued or it feels like retreating backwords on an never-ending loop, especially given there is so much more future excitement waiting to be found. That said, Sgt Slick & John Course’s Love Vision pulls certain heart strings which feel eloquently Saturday Night like a lost romance gliding across the reflection of a mirror-balled ballroom. It’s as much about recalling atmosphere as it is about movement, perhaps more simply about the memory of good times.
