Is there really an infinite way of receiving these blends of sounds? Of listening to unfolding combinations of drones and sonic treatments pitched somewhere between ethereal, poignant and a reflective rippling across streams of consciousness. I don’t really know the answer to that but I still like experiencing the process.
I guess from the album’s title it’s not too hard to figure the reference points here. Maybe that’s all you really need to know. Either way this selection of musical pieces highlights the necessity of being rather wonderfully.
One of the various places you could begin is with the combined floating guitars, amid a heaven of swirling pads adorning the timeless Mist, which put simply is a serene adventure. An illumination of the senses even. As the tracklist progresses so Ether Hymns become all the more compelling. Not so much resting easy but gathering emotional intensity together in a wrap of comforting bliss. I like it all. Very much. Especially the ecstasy inducing, sublimely engulfing Etheric Tide alongside the glassy guitars strummed on Swayd, reverberating into a delayed distance.
