With music like this being released in 2017 there’s no reason to rest on the laurels of the past. However, Doorly’s brand new Reptile Dysfunction imprint transmits a shivering current of electrifying energy via TROKOO’s blistering Don’t Work which does indeed reference a more soulfully tainted past with R&B flavoured keys amid yearning vocals. That sense of musicality expands as does the track ably aided by its rigorous workout in punchy, filtered sample stabs. True To Myself doesn’t compromise much either with awkward rhythms challenging any preconceived ideas which Doorly then address’s directly via a deliciously bass heavy reworking that screams out dancefloor at you.
